Ahead of us is the 16th Lower Silesian Children’s and Youth Oncoigrzyska, the next edition of the event will be held on June 3, 2023 at the Olympic Stadium in Wroclaw.
The organizers of the Onkoigrzysky are the University of Physical Education named after the late Stefan K. K. K., and the University of Physical Education. Polish Olympians in Wroclaw in cooperation with the Department of Bone Marrow Transplantation, Oncology and Pediatric Hematology of the Medical University of Wroclaw and the Foundation to the Rescue of Children with Cancer. The Santander Foundation is a partner of the event.
Onkoigrzyska is a celebration of sports for children who have been battling cancer for years, a day when they can meet and try their hand at something other than a hospital corridor. This year about 100 children from Poland, the Czech Republic and Ukraine will participate in the Onkoigrzyski.
The program includes, among other things. Olympic athletics disciplines: sprint running, long jump, darts, and badminton, table tennis, and soccer. We also invite whole families to cover a distance of 400m – by running, marching, or walking. After all, movement brings us closer to health.
For children, we have additionally prepared an art contest #Onkoigrzyska , and for Parents this year for the first time we are opening a Parent Zone, where adults will find time to relax and specially dedicated to them physical activity.
