BRAINballs in the USA

From 3rd to 12th April, 2019, employees of the Department of Sports Games: Ass. Prof. Andrzej Rokita, PhD, and Ireneusz Cichy, PhD, travelled to the United States of America, where they visited two universities and took part in “SHAPE America,” the largest Congress in the US for physical education teachers.

The first of the visited universities was the University of North Georgia (Dahlonega College), where a contract was signed between our University School, represented by the Rector and UNG, which was represented by the President of UNG, Bonita Jacobs. The signing of this agreement creates opportunities for cooperation, mainly scientific, for our employees and students as part of the Erasmus+ program.

During the visit at both Dahlonega College and College Gainesville (which belong to the University of North Georgia), the employees of our University conducted lectures and practical classes for students and university staff.

The second visited university was the University of Central Florida in Orlando. This is the largest university in the United States with nearly 65,000 students. Here, too, lectures and practical classes on the use of educational balls in early childhood education were conducted.

The last stage of the journey was participation in the National Convention SHAPE America, which was attended by over 3300 physical education teachers. It is the largest event of its kind in the USA, which, in addition to practical workshops and lectures, is also a place for presenting the latest sports equipment by over 50 major companies operating in this industry.

During SHAPE America, Ass. Prof. Andrzej Rokita, PhD, and Ireneusz Cichy, PhD, presented the possibilities of using BRAINball educational balls (for this is how the EDUballs are called in the USA).

You are welcome to see photos from the journey to the USA.
